Acacia Honey

What is Acacia Honey?

Acacia honey is a premium honey variety produced by bees that gather nectar primarily from the blossoms of black locust trees (Robinia pseudoacacia). Known as nature's liquid gold, it boasts a nearly transparent, light colour that resembles bottled sunshine.

Our honey is harvested in late spring when these fragrant white flowers bloom abundantly across the pristine countryside of the Hungarian Great Plain. It is sustainably collected by our expert beekeeper, fresh from the hive and in complete harmony with nature. The raw honey is unpasteurised and unfiltered, ensuring that it retains all its healthy goodness.

What does it taste like?

Pure acacia honey has a rich floral aroma and a naturally sweet taste. It offers a more delicate flavour profile than regular honey, featuring distinct acacia notes, subtle citrus undertones, and hints of vanilla.

How can I use it?

Raw acacia honey is slow to crystallise, and its smooth, runny consistency makes it a versatile addition to your pantry:

  • Drizzle it over toast, porridge, or yoghurt for a delicious start to your day.
  • Add it to shakes and smoothies for an infusion of flavour.
  • Its easy pourability makes it ideal for cooking and baking a variety of sweet and savoury recipes.
  • The gentle taste is popular with children; acacia honey in a squeezy honey bear is sure to bring a smile to kids and adults alike, making it a lovely addition to your breakfast table.
  • Our range also includes gourmet honey options made with acacia honey, including an intense smoked honey and spicy hot honey, which can elevate your cheese boards or be used to create flavourful marinades.
