Truffles are the most delicious of mushrooms, and thanks to their unique and fragrant flavours they can be used to improve and enhance a wide variety of dishes.

The truffle is the body of an underground fungus that grows as a result of a relationship between its mycelium and the roots of certain trees, such as oaks and hazels, which are therefore called truffle trees.

Black truffles are commonly referred to as the "black diamonds of the kitchen", as no other ingredient possesses the same range of flavours and aromas. They are regularly used in the worlds finest restaurants, because of their ability to turn a simple dish into a culinary delight.
