Three raw honeys in a festive Christmas cracker-shaped gift box: award-winning Acacia, fragrant Linden and distinctive Hawthorn to taste and share.
What Is in the Christmas Honey Gift Set?
This Christmas Honey Gift Set contains three 50g, taster-sized jars of single-flower raw honey. Presented in a festive cracker-shaped gift box, it makes a thoughtful present for honey enthusiasts and food lovers who enjoy discovering unique ingredients.
Each honey has its own character, from the delicate sweetness of Acacia to the aromatic freshness of Linden and the deeper, gently earthy notes of Hawthorn. Together, they offer a delicious introduction to mono-floral honey varieties.
Three Distinctive Raw Honeys
Acacia Honey
Acacia honey is pale, clear and naturally runny, with a delicate floral aroma and clean, lingering sweetness. Its gentle flavour makes it especially easy to enjoy on toast, in tea or drizzled over yoghurt and fruit. It has also received independent recognition at the 2026 Great Taste Awards, where it won the maximum of 3 stars.
Linden Honey
Linden honey has a fuller floral aroma, a golden colour and a refreshing, lightly citrus-like finish. It is a lovely choice for tea, warm toast, porridge or a simple cheese board.
Hawthorn Honey
Hawthorn honey is a more unusual variety, with a deep amber-gold colour, gentle sweetness and richer floral, softly earthy notes. Try it with breakfast, mature cheese or warm buttered crumpets.
How to Enjoy the Honey Gift Set
Open one jar at a time or arrange all three for a relaxed tasting. Their different flavours make this set particularly enjoyable for sharing at breakfast, after dinner or alongside a cheese board.
- Set out all three honeys with warm sourdough, croissants, butter and good coffee for a generous breakfast spread.
- Serve with Brie, Camembert, goat's cheese, or a mature hard cheese, so everyone can discover their preferred pairing.
- Stir Acacia honey into tea, drizzle Linden honey over Greek yoghurt and fruit, and try Hawthorn honey on toast or crumpets.
- Use a spoonful of honey to finish roast carrots, parsnips or squash, adding it near the end of cooking.
- Add a little to a vinaigrette with olive oil, mustard and vinegar for bitter leaves, roast beetroot or grilled cheese.
- Present the three jars after dinner with fresh fruit, nuts and cheese for a simple but memorable tasting course.
Serving Tip
For a simple honey tasting, serve a teaspoon of each variety at room temperature with plain crackers or lightly buttered bread. Taste Acacia first, then Linden, then Hawthorn, moving from the gentlest flavour to the fullest.
Where Does It Come From?
These honeys come from Váraljai's Honey Farm, a family-run apiary near Ásotthalom on the southern Great Hungarian Plain. Beekeeper László Váraljai keeps his own hives and harvests honey using traditional, considered methods.
The honey is coarsely filtered rather than pasteurised, preserving its natural character and individual floral flavour. Monika visits the farm and remains in regular contact with László, selecting the range for its flavour, provenance and distinctive variety.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much honey is in the gift set?
The set contains three 50g jars, for a total of 150g of honey: one Acacia, one Linden, and one Hawthorn.
Is this a Christmas cracker?
The gift box is shaped like a traditional Christmas cracker, making it especially festive for gifting. It is a presentation box rather than a pull-and-snap party cracker.
What is the difference between the three honeys?
Acacia is the palest and gentlest, with clean floral sweetness. Linden is more aromatic, with a refreshing floral and lightly citrus-like character. Hawthorn is deeper in colour and flavour, with richer floral and softly earthy notes.
Is the honey raw?
Yes. The honey is raw and coarsely filtered rather than pasteurised. This keeps the individual character of each floral variety at the centre of the finished honey.
Will the honey crystallise?
Raw honey may naturally crystallise over time. This is normal and does not affect its quality. To gently soften it, stand the closed jar in warm water; avoid high heat.
Is this a good Christmas gift?
Yes. The festive cracker-shaped box and three different 50g jars make it an easy, thoughtful gift for hosts, teachers, colleagues, food lovers and anyone who enjoys quality honey. Explore more seasonal presents in our Christmas food and gifts collection.
Can I send this directly as a gift?
Yes. The gift set is neatly presented and ready to give, whether as a Christmas present, a stocking gift or part of a larger food hamper.
