ST. ANDREA Egri Bikavér Superior 'Áldás' 2022

St. Andrea's Áldás is a Superior Bull's Blood that represent everything a great Bikavér should be, bringing alive the minerality of the Eger terroir.

A deep and complex nose with aromas of red cherry, red berries and a hint of liquorice root. This is a savoury cool-climate style with notes of ripe bramble and leafy black fruits complimented by oak, chocolate and sweet smoked spice. Soft, ripe tannins and fine acidity set this wine up perfectly for food pairing

Food Pairing

A versatile red wine, it makes a perfect accompaniment for steaks, grilled meats and vegetables. For an authentic pairing, try with traditional Hungarian dishes like goulash soup and rich stews, or a Baracskai semi-hard cheese.

Grape varieties: Kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch), Syrah, Merlot, Pinot noir, Cabernet franc, Kadarka and Cabernet sauvignon

Soil type: Brown forest soil with clay, rhyolite tuff in the deep layers
