Wildflower Honey 900g
Wildflower Honey 900g is available to order now and will be dispatched as soon as stock arrives.
Raw wildflower honey is a generously sized, naturally runny multiflower honey with a rich floral aroma and creamy sweetness, ideal for everyday use.
What Is Wildflower Honey?
Wildflower honey, also known as flower blossom or multiflower honey, is made when bees gather nectar from a natural mix of meadow flowers. Rather than reflecting one predominant blossom, its flavour develops from the variety of plants in the bees’ forage.
This gives the honey a layered floral character: gently sweet, aromatic and more rounded than a single-flower variety. Natural variation in colour and flavour is part of what makes each harvest distinctive.
Raw, coarsely filtered and unpasteurised, it is pure honey with nothing added or blended in. The generous 900g jar offers excellent value for households that enjoy honey regularly at breakfast, in drinks and in baking.
How to Use Wildflower Honey
With its easy-pouring texture and balanced floral flavour, wildflower honey is a practical everyday kitchen staple.
- Drizzle over Greek yoghurt, porridge, muesli, pancakes or fresh fruit.
- Stir into smoothies, tea or coffee as an alternative to refined sugar.
- Use in baking for cakes, biscuits, flapjacks and granola, where its floral sweetness adds gentle character.
- Serve it with our Hungarian pancakes, drizzled over warm crêpes with fresh fruit, nuts or a little yoghurt.
- Whisk into salad dressings, marinades and glazes for chicken, pork or roasted vegetables.
- Serve with goat’s cheese, herb cheese or a mild hard cheese, alongside nuts, apple or pear.
Cook’s Tip
Wildflower honey is a particularly useful baking honey because its runny consistency is easy to measure and mix. Use it where you want a rounded honey flavour without one bold floral note taking over.
Where Does It Come From?
Our wildflower honey comes from Váraljai’s Honey Farm, a family-run apiary near Ásotthalom on the southern Great Hungarian Plain. Forests, meadows and wildflower-rich countryside give the bees a varied natural forage.
Monika visits the farm annually and remains in regular contact with beekeeper László Váraljai. She selected this large-format jar for its dependable flavour, practical runny texture and clear traceability from hive to jar.
