Bolyki Egri Csillag is the white wine equivalent of the iconic Egri Bikavér. This refreshing and delightful blend is an ideal choice for summer days.
It offers a bright and enticing floral aroma complemented by juicy citrus notes. With lively acidity and a crisp palate featuring white stone fruits and peach, it concludes with a chalky, mineral finish that reflects the unique terroir of the region.
What is Egri Csillag?
Egri Csillag is one of Hungary's most exciting new white wines, originating from the historic wine region of Eger. Known as the "sister wine" to the famous Bull’s Blood , Egri Csillag was created to highlight the region's white grape varieties.
Indigenous grapes such as Királyleányka and Hárslevelű contribute to the wine's authentic Hungarian character. These are expertly blended with international varieties, including Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, resulting in a modern and cosmopolitan drink.
Food pairing
This wine pairs excellently with fish and seafood dishes. It also complements a meaty gourmet pizza, making for a refreshing sip. Additionally, washed-rind cheeses like Appenzeller, Époisses, and Limburger can create great matches with this crisp white wine.
