Showcasing the friendly and refreshing side of Tokaj, this pleasant vintage is made from the indigenous Hárslevelű grape variety.
In the glass the wine shows a distinctive straw yellow hue. A distinctive note of orchard fruits on the nose. Ripe apple leads into honey, beeswax and mineral dominant mid palate. A fresh citrus finish of lemon and grapefruit and a lovely acidity give a freshness to the wine.
Try with light mezze such as dips, roast vegetables and salads. Alternatively, a fresh dish of white fish or prawns cooked in a lightly spiced cream sauce would provide a lovely pairing, as the acidity would challenge the richness of the cream.

In 1994 the Count Degenfeld family successfully revived its wine estate in the heart of the Tokaj wine region, ensuring that the over 150-year-old tradition lives on with the latest generation. Winemaking was always closely intertwined with the family’s deep love and respect for nature, therefore since 2009 they cultivate their vineyards organically. The family only work with native grapes best suited to the unique micro-climate, create a range of single varietal wines with award-winning credentials. The bunches are hand-harvested and carefully vinified with minimal intervention. As a result, with every sip you take, you are tasting an authentic drop of the volcanic Tokaj terroir.
