At Best of Hungary, we strive to offer you a first-class customer experience. We always aim to deliver your order speedily and in perfect condition so that you can enjoy your Hungarian goodies from the comfort of your home.
What are your delivery costs?
We offer free UK delivery on orders over £60.
The cost of delivery for all orders under £60 is £2.95.
We ship orders using Royal Mail Tracked 24.
We post parcels from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), and we offer same-day dispatch when you order before 11:00 am.
Total delivery time is 1–3 working days (including up to 1 day for processing and 1–2 days for transit).
Deliveries to certain UK postcodes, including the Scottish Highlands & Islands as well as Northern Ireland, may take an additional couple of days.
*Please note that due to Brexit, we can no longer ship to the Channel Islands and do not ship outside the United Kingdom.
We also offer free collection from our warehouse, located at Unit 5r, Ideal Storage, Glan-yr-Afon Industrial Estate, Aberystwyth, SY23 3JQ, UK. If you would like to collect your order in person, please select the "Local Collection" option when placing your order.
We typically prepare orders within 24 hours, and you can collect your order Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4 pm at a pre-arranged time. Once you have placed your order, we will contact you via email to finalise the details.
How can I track my order?
As soon as we ship your parcel you will receive a confirmation email with your Royal Mail tracking number. You will be able to track your order by clicking on the link in the email, or by entering your tracking number here: https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item#/
How will you pack my order?
If your order contains chilled products, our diligent warehouse team, led by Abe and Chris, will pack them using refrigerated cold packs in thermal insulated packaging, which maintains suitable transit conditions for 48-72 hours.
Depending on the size of your order and choice of products, there may be occasions when we need to ship your order as two or more separate parcels, which may arrive at different times.
Will you let me know when my order has been sent?
You will receive a confirmation email once we have shipped your order, including tracking information. If you also wish to be notified by text about the status of your delivery, please include your mobile phone number at Checkout.
Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure you are available to receive your order on the delivery date provided. If you are expecting perishable items, we strongly advise that you track your order regularly to know when it is due.
If your order is a gift, it is your responsibility to notify the recipient of the order's arrival time.
Please note we cannot take responsibility for any perishable items that have been left to deteriorate for any length of time due to the absence of the addressee. We cannot accept responsibility for orders returned by our delivery partners due to the addressee's absence. In these circumstances, no refund will be offered.
My order contains alcohol, are there any restrictions?
We only sell alcohol to those who are aged 18 and over. By placing an order with us, you confirm that you are of legal age. It is illegal to buy alcohol if you are underage or for someone else who is under the age of 18.
What if my order arrives and something is damaged?
In the unlikely event that any of your products arrive damaged, please contact us by email at info@bestofhungary.co.uk with an image of the damaged product and your Order Number. We will offer to re-send the affected item or a refund, with the funds automatically refunded on your original payment method within 7 days.
While we always try our very best to achieve our stated delivery times, things may occasionally go wrong. Please note we cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions and delivery partner difficulties.
Please note that deliveries may take longer than usual during busy periods such as the run-up to Christmas. If problems arise, please bear with us as we try to resolve any unforeseen issues.
We cannot accept any liability for any consequential loss, damage or expense caused by a failure in our service. This includes the cost of purchases made to replace an order that fails to arrive.
Environmentally Friendly Packaging & Delivery
We source our supplies from Kite Packaging, the UK's leading, employee-owned packaging supplier. We pack each item by hand, using a combination of paper wrap and inflatable bottle protectors. We use recyclable void-fill packaging and recyclable cardboard boxes containing recycled content, or we reuse the cardboard boxes sent to us by our suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint. All packing materials, except for cool packs and thermal insulated packaging, are recyclable.
We use Royal Mail for deliveries, consistently ranked as one of the most carbon-conscious couriers, with some of the lowest carbon footprints per package delivered.
