Franciasaláta, also known as Olivier or Russian Salad is an authentic recipe with potatoes, carrots, peas and apple for a deliciously creamy & crunchy dish. You can serve this as a versatile side for grilled meats and BBQ, or enjoy it on its own as a light lunch option.

Ingredients

2 medium potatoes

2 carrots
-
150g green peas

2 pickled cucumber slices

1 large apple

100g mayonnaise

200g sour cream
-
1 tbsp mustard

1 tsp lemon juice
-
salt
-
black pepper
Directions
- Peel and wash the potatoes and carrots, then finely dice them into small cubes.
- Mix with the green peas and cook until soft. Once cooked, strain them and let them cool.
- Add the diced apple and chopped cucumber when the vegetables have cooled down.
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Then add the vegetables and carefully combine.
- For the best experience, place the salad in the fridge for a few hours to let the flavours come together.
