Deliciously tender grilled pork chops recipe prepared in a beer marinade to infuse the meat with flavour and a touch of heat, perfect with a leafy salad. You can also serve it over a bed of egg noodles and stir-fried vegetables for a comfort food paradise.
Ingredients
-
600g boneless pork chops (4 steaks)
-
200ml beer
-
100g bacon
-
2 tbsp oil
-
1 tsp hot paprika cream
-
1 large brown onion - thickly sliced
-
1 tsp dried marjoram
-
3 bay leaf
Directions
Wash and pat dry the pork chops with kitchen towels. Slice the bacon into thin strips and use it to interlard the meat.
Rub the paprika cream and marjoram into the steaks, then place them in a bowl and pour the beer over them so the meat is fully covered. Add the bay leaf and the sliced onions to the marinade, then place it in the fridge and let it rest overnight.
Remove the slices from the fridge. Lightly oil them, then cook them over a BBQ or bake them in the oven on a grill rack until lightly charred on the outside.
