Geisha Coffee Blossom Tea 9g
Geisha coffee blossom tea is a delicate floral infusion from Costa Rica, with notes of jasmine, acacia blossom and white tea, presented in a gift box.
What Is Coffee Blossom Tea?
Coffee blossom tea is an infusion made from the dried flowers of the coffee plant. This distinctive tea comes from Geisha coffee plants grown in Costa Rica and offers a very different experience from a cup of roasted coffee.
When infused, the blossoms produce a delicate, fragrant drink with a gentle floral sweetness. Its flavour is reminiscent of jasmine and acacia blossom, with the light, elegant character of white tea.
Each presentation box contains nine individually portioned capsules of dried coffee blossoms. Each 1g portion is measured for approximately 200ml of water and can be infused more than once.
What Makes Geisha Coffee Blossom Tea Special?
Geisha, also known as Gesha, is a highly prized Arabica coffee variety celebrated by speciality coffee lovers for its floral aroma and delicate character. The coffee brewed from its beans is often associated with jasmine-like notes and a refined, tea-like quality.
This infusion offers a different way to experience the plant. Made from its dried blossoms rather than its roasted beans, it has its own fragrant character, with notes of jasmine, acacia blossom and white tea. It is an unusual choice for anyone who enjoys discovering distinctive floral teas and coffee-growing traditions.
How to Brew Coffee Blossom Tea
Give the blossoms room to infuse so their delicate aroma and flavour can develop. A small teapot or a cup with a tea infuser works well.
- Open one capsule and place the dried blossoms in a teapot or tea infuser.
- Pour over approximately 200ml of water at 85°C.
- Leave to infuse for 2–3 minutes.
- Strain and enjoy.
You can infuse the same blossoms again, so you can enjoy more than one cup from each portion. Adjust the brewing time to your taste as the flavour becomes lighter.
Serving Tip
Try your first cup without milk or sweetener to appreciate its delicate floral character. For a refreshing alternative, allow the infusion to cool and serve it over ice.
Where Does It Come From?
This coffee blossom tea is produced by Bányai in Costa Rica, the same producer behind our cascara coffee cherry tea.
Coffee plants flower for only a short period each year. Bányai carefully harvests the blossoms at the right stage to capture their sweet aroma and flavour, then cleans and dries them for the infusion. Only a limited quantity is gathered so that the coffee crop can continue to develop.
Bányai describes its approach as "plant to cup": the coffee plants are grown on its own farm, and the team oversees the production process from cultivation through to the finished tea. The dried blossoms are presented in individually portioned capsules inside an elegant gift box.
