Cascara tea, also known as coffee cherry tea, is a naturally low-caffeine drink. Its fruity sweetness makes it a healthy and refreshing herbal infusion.
What is it?
Cascara, meaning “husk” in Spanish, is made from the dried outer skins of coffee cherries, the fruit that surrounds the coffee bean.
Instead of discarding these nutrient-rich husks, our partner farmers carefully clean and gently dry them using only the power of the sun. This process creates a naturally sweet beverage with a rich fruity flavour and hints of hibiscus, rosehip, and red berries.
Although it comes from coffee cherries, its taste is nothing like coffee, making this an excellent low-caffeine alternative to those who find the strong, bitter taste of regular coffee unappealing.

How to brew?
- Add 3-4g of cascara per cup.
- Steep in 100ml of hot water (90–95°C) for 8-10 minutes.
- Strain and serve.

Each portion can be re-brewed 2-3 times, making one pack last for 50-60 cups of tea.
Add a sprinkle of lemon juice for a citrussy twist, or a spoonful of raw honey for a touch of healthy goodness.
