BALASSA Tokaji Furmint 2018 

Combining the finest hand-picked grapes from four volcanic vineyards, this medium-bodied dry Furmint is a crisp wine reflecting the complexity of the Tokaj terroir. Refreshing, with a dynamic yet refined acidity and just a touch of oak. Fruity, intense nose shows some butterscotch and herbal notes of delicate acacia and camomile. Friendly, attractive palate with some nuttiness and salty minerality. Long finish of sweet spices and ripe fruits. A balanced, easy-going but seriously well-made wine.


Food Pairing

A great accompaniment to poultry, seafood and risottos or try with your Asian noodle bowl. Goes well with washed-rind cheeses such as Appenzeller, Limburger or Taleggio, as well as with some charcuterie.

GRÓF DEGENFELD Tokaji Extra Brut 2017

Characteristic Furmint notes on the nose, including green apple and resplendent citrus aromas, followed by mineral notes indicative of the distinctive volcanic Tokaj terroir. Citrus fruits shine to the fore on the palate, rounded out by the fresh and vibrant flavours of juicy grapefruit. Well-balanced acidity and fine bubbles make this a stylish and highly drinkable sparkling wine.

TOKAJICUM Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 2017

Opulent and weighty nose of honey, mango, orange peel and forest mushrooms.  A palate rich in acacia blossoms, marmalade and passion fruit aromas. This is a well-balanced and concentrated sweet white wine, with a creamy texture and a long finish.


Food Pairing

The ultimate dessert wine, perfect on its own or when partnered with cakes and patisserie, especially fruit cakes and pies. It is also our recommended drink of choice to go with goose liver. To prepare a delicious cheese board, serve it with blue cheese including Gorgonzola, Stilton and Roquefort, while it is also perfect with charcuterie.
