Siller, also known as schiller, is one of the oldest styles of rosé wine. It is extremely rare nowadays, made only by a select few wineries with the necessary knowledge and expertise. This intriguing variety represents a cross-over between a full-bodied rosé and a lighter red-wine. Therefore, it is the perfect choice if you are looking for a 'rosé-plus', with added depth and character yet the same easy-drinking nature.

Tasting Notes

An intense crimson red colour, this is a medium-bodied light and fresh siller wine from the native Kadarka grape. Rich aroma of sweet spices and red fruits, especially strawberry and raspberry. The same mouthwatering fruit character on the palate, with added notes of cherries and cranberries. Round acidity and a middle-plus aftertaste rounds out this fascinating vintage.

Food Pairing Recommendation

Goes very well with smoked salmon, smoked ham or a salmon tartare. It also makes the perfect pairing for fresh strawberries while lounging out in the summer sunshine.
