Mangalitza salami with a tantalising piquant touch from the addition of hot paprika. This artisan charcuterie is made in small batches with 80% fresh mangalitza pork and 20% grey cattle beef. The free-range meat from these two ancient Hungarian breeds is combined with Hungarian hot paprika, pepper, nutmeg and allspice, creating a memorable gourmet experience.
Mangalitza meat is naturally high in Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids as well as a range of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. Mangalitza is also naturally low in cholesterol, making it a healthy choice with potential heart-protective properties.
The salami is delicious on its own, in sandwiches, as a pizza topping or sliced into risottos and pasta sauces. It makes the perfect centrepiece for charcuterie boards, going especially well with hard cheese, including Cheddar, Parmesan or Gouda.
