Gyulai sausage has been made in southern Hungary for over 100 years, garnering international awards and recognition for its unique taste and recipe (Protected Geographical Indication), as well as becoming a firm family favourite along the way. Gyulai is a traditional pork charcuterie made using locally sourced ingredients and aromatic Hungarian paprika. The sausage is cold-smoked over fragrant hard wood and then slowly matured until it becomes tender to the bite, bursting with the flavour of the Hungarian countryside.
Delicious on its own, in sandwiches, as a pizza topping or sliced into risottos and pasta sauces. It makes the perfect center-piece for charcuterie boards, going especially well with hard cheese including Cheddar, Parmesan or Gouda.
