Gyulai sausage is a traditional pork charcuterie made in southern Hungary using locally sourced ingredients and aromatic Hungarian paprika. The sausage is cold-smoked over fragrant hardwood and then slowly matured until it becomes tender to the bite, bursting with the flavour of the Hungarian countryside.
Over the past 100 years, it has garnered international awards and recognition for its unique taste and recipe (Protected Geographical Indication) and has become a firm family favourite along the way.
Gyulai sausage is a delicious addition to sandwiches, try as a pizza topping or slice into risottos and pasta sauces. It makes the perfect centrepiece for charcuterie boards, going especially well with hard cheese, including Cheddar, Parmesan or Gouda.
