This blown-glass Christmas bauble is individually hand-painted with a wintry scene on both sides. The front shows a snow-covered cottage beside a tall fir tree, with warm golden windows and a winding gold path bringing a welcoming glow to the red glass.
Turn it around to reveal a peaceful snowy fir forest. Measuring approximately 10cm in diameter, it has a generous presence on a Christmas tree while still sitting naturally among treasured decorations collected over the years.

Where Does It Come From?
This bauble is made by Szabó Üveg, a family-run glass workshop in Tárnok, near Budapest. The Szabó family founded the business in 1963 and began making glass Christmas decorations around 1970. More than half a century later, the workshop continues to combine traditional equipment, skilled handwork and designs shaped by festive tradition.
Each ornament is hand-blown from glass, silvered internally to create its reflective glow, then hand-coloured and decorated. Small variations in the cottage scene, snowy trees, brushwork and finish are a natural part of the hand-finished process, giving every bauble its own character.

Care
For indoor decorative use. Handle with care and keep away from damp areas, direct sunlight and strong heat sources. The textured snow detailing is hand-applied directly to the glass using heat-set relief paint, not loose glitter. Ordinary Christmas tree lights are suitable, but avoid placing the bauble close to hot bulbs or heaters. Store it securely in its gift box when not in use to help preserve the painted detail for future Christmases.
