Irsai Olivér white wine, made from this native Hungarian grape, is a richly perfumed and lively vintage, bursting with intense fresh fruit aromas.

Vibrant citrus and luscious tropical fruit flavours on the palate, with crisp acidity, finishing in a gentle, honeyed sweetness with mineral notes showcasing the volcanic origins of the terroir. It is the ideal welcome drink or the perfect choice for a relaxing summer afternoon.

What is Irsai Olivér?

Irsai Olivér is a Hungarian white grape variety created in 1930 by crossing two native varieties and later used to develop the impossibly named but widely beloved Cserszegi Fűszeres.

The grape yields dry wines, which are typically characterised by a fragrant aroma reminiscent of grape blossoms. A light body, combined with lower alcohol and a refreshing fruitiness, creates a youthful and highly drinkable wine, ideally suited to those who typically enjoy Sauvignon Blanc or Muscat.

Serve with poultry or light vegetable dishes, or try it with spicy Asian cuisine. You can also combine it with sparkling water or club soda to create a delicious white wine spritzer to enjoy in the sunshine.
