Order by 11am Monday for next day delivery.

Tokaji Sweet Szamorodni is an indulgent dessert wine speciality. This elegant vineyard selection is an exceptionally rich and complex vintage.

It has an intense, rich aroma of vanilla, yellow-fleshed fruits, plenty of spices, citrus fruits, apricots, pears and ripe apples. The soft and creamy texture is balanced by a firmer, more developed botrytis character. Tantalising layers of apricot, yellow-fleshed peach, raisin, vanilla, sweet spices, ripe apple and quince on the palate round out a memorable drink.

Food Pairing

It is the perfect drink choice for Asian fusion dishes, air-dried mangalitza ham and chocolate covered cakes. It pairs well with blue cheeses, such as Stilton and Roquefort, as well as other soft varieties.

Balassa Winery, Tokaj

The boutique Balassa winery was established in 2005 by Istvan Balassa in the historic Tokaj wine region. Right from the beginning, Istvan, a perfectionist, was determined to produce only the highest-quality wines possible by maximising the potential of each vintage. It all starts in his vineyards with growing grapes of outstanding quality by applying a rigorous scientific approach to cultivation. He then creates each wine using artisanal wine-making methods, allowing the unique characteristics of the grape, the vineyard and the terroir to shine through in every drop.
