Quince compote is a healthy preserve made by gently preserving cubes of sun-kissed fresh fruit to capture their delicious crunch and natural fruity flavour.

What is Quince Compote?

The finest juicy fruit is harvested by hand from local orchards at peak ripeness to maximise their natural flavour, which is a unique and intriguing combination of apple and pear. Using a traditional recipe, the quince is gently simmered on low heat with only minimal sugar and a touch of cloves, to develop the perfect balance of sweet fruit flavour with a subtle tartness.

Made without additives or preservatives, quince compote is a healthier option than canned or tinned alternatives, and it is an excellent choice for enjoying this traditional autumn fruit throughout the year.

How can I use it?

  • Serve as a delicious side for roast beef, pork or turkey, providing a mouth-watering sweet counterpoint to the rich flavour of the meat.
  • It makes a moreish filling for pancakes, enjoy it with waffles or a scoop of chocolate ice cream for a culinary treat, or combine it with slices of peach compote and add them to fruit salads.
  • Pair it with an aged Manchego, Gouda or a traditional ash cheese for a gourmet treat.
  • Sprinkle a handful over a bowl of yoghurt, granola, or porridge to quickly create a healthy snack.
