TOKAJICUM Tokaji Furmint 'Vizsla' 2023

£12.50

A Tokaji Furmint with a unique label celebrating the beloved Hungarian Vizsla, this volcanic vintage shows a joyous side of Tokaj's flagship dry white wine.

The wine was partially tank-fermented to retain the grapes' delightful fruitiness, followed by a period of barrel ageing to add depth and refinement.

An appealing nose of white-fleshed fruit and honeyed notes is followed by a smooth, creamy palate dominated by peach and pear and elegantly complemented by the buttery, toasty flavours from barrel ageing. The Furmint grapes give it an excellent structure built around a firm acidic backbone, with the sip ending in a long mineral finish.

Food Pairing

Serve with roasted vegetables, poultry, fish, sushi or savoury muffins. Pair it with smoked cheese like a traditional Parenica or try it alongside charcuterie.

Serving temperature: 10°C
