What is Muscat Blanc?
Muscat Blanc, also known as Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, is one of the oldest and most aromatic white grape varieties in the world. It is cherished for its intense floral fragrance and fruit-forward character.
In Hungary's historic Tokaj wine region, this grape acquires a distinctive expression influenced by the unique combination of volcanic soils, centuries of winemaking tradition, and a special microclimate.
The resulting wines are celebrated for their elegant balance of fruity and honeyed notes, supported by lively acidity that makes them refreshing and versatile—ideal for crafting off-dry and late-harvest wines.
Food Pairing
This wine pairs excellently with Asian dishes. It goes particularly well with prawns and Nam Jim dipping sauce, complementing the spicy notes. You can also enjoy it with smoked salmon or fresh cheese.

Gróf Degenfeld Winery, Tokaj
In 1994, the Count Degenfeld family successfully revived their wine estate in the heart of the Tokaj wine region, ensuring that a tradition over 150 years old lives on with the current generation. Winemaking is deeply intertwined with the family's love and respect for nature. As a result, they have been cultivating their vineyards organically since 2009. The family exclusively uses native grape varieties that thrive in the unique microclimate, producing a range of single-varietal wines with award-winning credentials. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully vinified with minimal intervention. Consequently, each sip offers a taste of the authentic volcanic terroir of Tokaj.
