The sweetness is very good and the flavour well balanced. The pastry has a lovely soft texture with a gentle crumble on the palate. The poppy seed filling is balanced well with the honey. It is soft and chewy with butterscotch notes. This is an excellent example of this type of traditional cake, made with expertise and care. Outstanding."
