An organic tokaji furmint aged in a magnum bottle, this elegant and refined vintage is a must for lovers of volcanic wines and connoisseurs.

Touches of honey and vanilla round out the rich citrus aroma. The layered palate opens with citrus and lime notes, which are joined by cloves, tobacco and vanilla from the new barrel ageing. The fine-lees make for a creamy sip, and the mouthfeel is enriched by the lively acidity of the furmint grape.

Food Pairing

This white wine is a great accompaniment to poultry, spicy stews and vegetable dishes. It also goes well with hard cheese like an aromatic herb cheese, or serve it alongside a charcuterie board.

Gróf Degenfeld Winery, Tokaj - Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)

In 1994 the Count Degenfeld family successfully revived its wine estate in the heart of the Tokaj wine region, ensuring that over 150-year-old tradition lives on with the latest generation. Winemaking was closely intertwined with the family’s deep love and respect for nature; therefore, they have cultivated their vineyards organically since 2009. The family only work with native grapes best suited to the unique micro-climate, creating a range of single varietal wines with award-winning credentials. The bunches are hand-harvested and carefully vinified with minimal intervention. As a result, you are tasting an authentic drop of the volcanic Tokaj terroir with every sip you take.
