Cold-pressed grapeseed oil is a healthy oil with a mild taste. The high smoke point of this versatile cooking oil makes it ideal for frying and baking.
How can I use it?
Grapeseed oil has a silky-smooth texture, a fragrant aroma reminiscent of fresh grape juice, and a delicate flavour loved by the Great Taste Award judges. It is a delightful addition to salad dressings and homemade mayonnaise. With its high smoke point, this unrefined oil is an excellent alternative to olive oil for frying, perfect for cooking gourmet roast potatoes. You can also add it to cakes and bakes for a delicious infusion of flavour.
Health Benefits
Pure grapeseed oil is an excellent source of Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, including Omega-3 and Omega-6. Rich in antioxidants and bioflavonoids, regular consumption may help reduce inflammation, promote cardiovascular health, and potentially reverse premature ageing. You can also apply it externally to hydrate your skin and hair. Massage it in directly to improve elasticity and softness.
How is it made?
The finest raw seeds are sustainably sourced from the world-famous Tokaj region's wineries. These are gently cold-pressed, ensuring that they fully retain their natural goodness. An innovative and environmentally friendly ‘zero waste’ technology is used to create the oil. A finely milled grapeseed powder is also produced, ensuring that nothing is discarded. The oil comes in a recyclable glass bottle.
Award Winner
The grapeseed oil received 1* at the 2023 Great Taste Award.
Comments from the Great Taste Judges:
"We loved the olive green colour and creamy appearance of the oil. The aroma of this oil is so unusual and genuinely comes across as winey, which is a revelation. Great mouthfeel, with a richness that works with the deeply fruity notes and a nutty ending. Lovely for dressings."
