Gösser Radler is a refreshing German-style lemon beer with the zesty citrus aroma of lemonade; this unique shandy is bursting with summery fruit flavours.

It is made by blending a base of pale lager with lemon juice to create an energising drink that is perfect for quenching your thirst on a hot summer day.

What is Radler?

Radler means cyclist in German, and according to legend, the original recipe was inspired by an innkeeper running low on beer and desperate to keep a group of thirsty riders supplied; therefore, he started mixing in the excess lemon soda he had lying around.

Regardless its beginnings, Radler, like all other shandies, is a lower-alcohol alternative to regular beer with an invigorating citrus touch.  

Ingredients

Water, barley, fructose, lemon and orange juice from concentrate, citric acid, hop extract, stabilisers: guar gum, ester gum, carob gum; natural aroma, antioxidant: ascorbic acid, lemongrass extract.

2.0% alcohol (ABV).
