Szilva pálinka is a plum brandy and one of the best-known Hungarian spirits. It has a rich fruit aroma, flowery notes, and a touch of marzipan sweetness. The pálinka is made from the unique’Szatmári’ plum variety, treasured for its intense, concentrated flavour. It is ethereal on the palate with an authentic and lasting fruit character.

Pálinka is the national spirit of Hungary, renowned as the ‘queen of all fruit brandies’. It is made from only the ripest fruits, which are de-stoned, fermented for 10-15 days, and then distilled. Finally, the pálinka is matured in wooden barrels which infuses it with an additional depth of flavour.

Pálinka is recommended to be served at 16-18 Celsius to maximise its aroma and flavour.
