This vineyard-selection kékfrankos is a medium-bodied dry red wine with a deep ruby red colour. It presents a lighter side of the grape variety, while showcasing the best of the unique Eger terroir. Toasty notes and barrel-spices in the nose, followed by a palate of sour cherry and cinnamon aromas. Vibrating acids and gentle tannins make this a harmonious and elegant wine. A long finish of sour-cherry and blueberry complemented by hints of star anise.
Food Pairing Recommendation
The wines acidity makes it the perfect drink to go alongside heavier, heartier dishes like steak, sausages and BBQ meats. It also cuts beautifully through spicier dishes, making it the ideal pairing for hot Asian curries like a vindaloo or even Sichuan chicken.
