2018 was an exceptionally dry and warm vintage, but thanks to an early harvest, the natural acidity of the grapes has been preserved. Gentle pressing was followed by spontaneous barrel fermentation and a five-month maturation process in Hungarian oak, producing a beautifully balanced wine.
The nose is dominated by pear, mint, and floral notes, with a hint of vanilla in the background. Rich palate with a long, intensely mineral finish. Perfect to drink now, this wine will show beautifully after a few more years of laying down.

Furmint is a great match for Asian dishes - try with a sushi platter or a sweet-and-sour recipe. Alternatively, serve with a creamy pasta dish or risotto. From our own recipe book, top recommendations include roasted red cabbage and truffle tagliatelle.
