Milkweed honey is a rare variety that is a recognised Hungarian specialty. It is a fragrant honey with an intense aroma and a distinctive flavour, with hints of vanilla and delicate lavender notes.
Its runny consistency and sweet taste makes it a popular and healthy alternative to sugar in drinks and desserts. It is also easy to bake with, making a flavoursome addition to cake and muffin batters. Alternatively, just drizzle over fresh toast or croissant for a wholesome and indulgent start to the day.
Milkweed honey is rich in amino acids and enzymes. Its powerful antibacterial and antimicrobial effects make this a potent immune enhancer, while its regular consumption can also improve cardiovascular health. Additionally, as it contains minimal amounts of pollen, it is the ideal choice for those with a pollen allergy.

Comments from the Great Taste judges:
A pretty, pale golden honey with good clarity and intriguing aroma. The pouring texture is silky, it is sweet and well balanced - a well presented enjoyable honey.
A gentle-looking, pale, flowing honey. The texture is pleasingly creamy with an intense flavour that lingers on the palate - there are quite a few complex layers. This is an unusual and intriguing honey.
