Kreinbacher Estate's Öreg Tőkék Bora (Old Vines Selection) is created from the finest bunches, which are carefully hand-picked and exclusively harvested from old plantings of welschriesling (olaszrizling), furmint and hárslevelű. With roots reaching deep down into the unique volcanic soil of Somló, grapes from these vines have an intense, concentrated minerality that showcases the best of this special terroir.

A cool minerality with hints of apricot and peach in the nose. Deep and intense palate combines citrus fruits with pronounced mineral, salty aromas and a complex acidity. With so much strength and minerality concentrated from the volcanic soil, this is a powerful vintage rounded out in a creamy finish with fresh mint notes.

Food Pairing Recommendation

It goes very well with chicken salad and grilled fish, as well as a light creamy pasta. If you are preparing a cheese board then pair it with washed-rind cheese like Appenzeller, Linburger or Taleggio.
