Tasting Notes

An enticing fragrance of white-fleshed fruits with floral notes on the nose. A refreshing taste of grapefruit, peach and pineapple on the palate, followed by layers of toasty aromas and a mouth-watering light saltiness. A firm and rich mousse, excellently structured and with the zest ensuring a long finish. The Furmint grapes give it a minerality and real crispness, which is perfectly complemented by the elegance so characteristic of Chardonnay. Aged on the lees for over two years, but its remarkable freshness shows further potential for bottle ageing, making it better with each passing day. The magnum bottle allows for the development of an even more complex structure, making this the perfect choice for true connoisseurs.

Food Pairing Recommendation

This dry sparkling wine is great on its own, allowing you to fully appreciate its taste. It also goes very well with caviar, smoked salmon and oysters. Its creamy fruitiness makes a delicious pairing for soft cheese and mascarpone, as well as crêpes and strawberry sponge cakes.

Serve chilled at 8-11°C and consume at a temperature of 10-11°C.

About the Producer

The Kreinbacher Estate was founded by József Kreinbacher in 2002, on the gentle slopes of the Somló mountain. It is a place where a rich alluvial subsoil meets the perfect micro-climate, creating the ideal conditions for cultivating grapes of outstanding minerality. The first sparkling wines were introduced in 2014, opening a new chapter in the history of the region that has seen the Kreinbacher Estate become the most decorated Hungarian sparkling wine maker. Crafted by a team of in-house experts and renowned outside consultants, each bottle is a revelation, as the unparalleled aroma of the grapes is masterly developed through the méthode traditionnelle approach, creating stunning vintages worthy of the highest international awards.
