GÁL TIBOR Egri Csillag 2019
Intense, youthful nose combining floral and muscat-like grape notes. Round palate dominated by the same sweet and fragrant muscat character, blending with some zesty citrus. Friendly and easy to understand, with refreshing acidity and moderate alcohol. A joyous, charming wine ideal for a warm evening.
Egri Csillag is a recent innovation from the Eger wine region in northern Hungary. The first samples were made in 2010, in an attempt to present the market with a white sister wine to the famed red blend, Egri Bikavér (Bull's Blood). Blended from an array of indigenous and international grape varieties, Egri Csillag really gives winemakers a free hand to create their own idea of a youthful, refreshing and easy-drinking white.
