Tasting Notes

A real crowd-pleaser, this light and inviting welschriesling is the perfect everyday wine. An appealing clear, bright yellow-green hue in the glass with intense aromas of green apple and lychee developing as the wine starts to breathe. A very round and inviting structure, as the velvety soft acidity fits perfectly into the delicate body. Fresh and mineral on the palate, with tantalising notes of white flowers, it is a highly satisfying wine.

Food Pairing Recommendation

It goes very well with smoked pork, poultry, sea bass and pasta, as well as washed-rind cheese including Appenzeller, Epoisses and Linburger.

Serving temperature: 11°C

About the Winemaker

The Dobosi family started to cultivate grape vines in 1721 and with the tradition of wine making passed from father to son, you can taste the 300 years of expertise. The family works 26.5 hectares in the picturesque Nivegy Valley, just north of Lake Balaton and selectively hand-harvests the ripe fruit. All of their grapes are grown organically, using all-natural methods which are in perfect harmony with nature. By cultivating native grape varieties which are uniquely suited to the special soil and microclimate, they have captured the essence of the sunny Balaton Uplands in every bottle.
