Apricot palinka, made from sun-ripened juicy fruits and enriched with golden honey, creating a firm-favourite. Close your eyes and feel yourself transported, as its rich fruity aroma conjures up images of the endless Hungarian Great Plains in the intense heat of summer, with a mirage shimmering on the horizon. Use it to make a variety of hot drinks or as a delicious addition to cocktails. Alternatively, mix it into Prosecco or Champagne for a flavour boost.
Palinka is the national drink of Hungary, renowned as the ‘queen of all fruit brandies’. It is made from only the ripest fruits, which are destoned and then fermented for 10-15 days, and then distilled. Finally, the palinka is matured in wooden barrels which imbues it with additional flavour and colour.
Palinka is recommended to be served at 18-23 Celsius to maximise its aroma and flavour.
It won Silver medal at the 2017 International Wine and Spirit Competition.
