Dry furmint showcasing the lighter side of this quintessential Tokaj variety. A medium-bodied and approachable wine, partially tank-fermented to retain the grapes delightful fruitiness, before a period of barrel ageing for added depth and character. It has an intense nose of yellow-fleshed fruits, pear, honey and a touch of quince. The palate is dominated by peach, pear and quince, elegantly complemented by an intense minerality and the buttery, toast aromas from the barrel ageing.
Food Pairing Recommendation
It goes very well with roast, poultry, fish, sushi and dumplings. If you are preparing a cheese board then pair it with medium hard cheese including Edam, Emmental, Gruyere and Gouda.
