6 Puttonyos Tokaji Aszú are the finest natural sweet wines in the world and the ultimate expression of the volcanic Tokaji terroir in a bottle.
Deep gold colour and a complex, intense nose packed with honey, flowers and rich spiced fruit. A rich palate of apricot jam, orange peel, honey and sweet spices culminates in a long dried fruit and floral finish. The creamy mouthfeel is balanced by gentle acidity, and this wine still shows lots of youthful freshness at ten years of age. Beautifully made, it is perfect for drinking now or laying down for as long as you can resist the temptation.
Serve with air-dried ham, cakes or an indulgent chocolate muffin. It also makes a mouth-watering pairing for blue cheese including Gorgonzola, Stilton and Roquefort.

Meet the Winemaker
Balassa Winery, Tokaj - Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)
The boutique Balassa winery was established in 2005 by Istvan Balassa in the historic Tokaj wine region. Right from the beginning, Istvan, a perfectionist, was determined to produce only the highest-quality wines possible by maximising the potential of each vintage. It all starts in his vineyards with growing grapes of outstanding quality by applying a rigorous scientific approach to cultivation. He then creates each wine using artisanal wine-making methods, allowing the unique characteristics of the grape, the vineyard and the terroir to shine through in every drop.
