A perfectly balanced Kékfrankos from organically and bio-dynamically cultivated grapes, it brings the authentic taste of Villány alive in your glass.
Deep ruby-purple colour. Smoky, earthy nose with an aroma of cherries and dark berries in the background and a hint of black pepper. The wine was made in an elegant, cool-climate style, resulting in high acidity but a soft and velvety mouthfeel. The palate is dominated by sour cherries, mushrooms, and cedarwood. Youthful, fine tannins and smoky, spicy finish with a bite; this bottle will only improve with age — an intriguing, serious wine for deep conversations.
Food pairing
The wine's acidic backbone is perfect to go with heavy, hearty dishes such as steaks, meatloaf and BBQ meats. It also cuts beautifully through spicy dishes, making it the ideal pairing for hot Asian curries like a vindaloo or Sichuan chicken. Try it with semi-hard cheese like Baracskai and create a memorable cheese board.
