Pear (vilmos körte) pálinka is a refreshing spirit made with juicy, sun-ripened pears. With its intense summery fruit aroma, it is ‘sunshine in a bottle’. Its firm Williams pear character, with its intriguing spiciness and long finish, makes for an unforgettable experience.
Pálinka is the national spirit of Hungary, renowned as the ‘queen of all fruit brandies’. It is made from only the ripest fruits, which are de-stoned, fermented for 10-15 days, and then distilled. Finally, the pálinka is matured in wooden barrels which infuses it with an additional depth of flavour.
Pálinka is recommended to be served at 16-18 Celsius to maximise its aroma and flavour.

Comments from the Great Taste Judges:
"Crystal clear with notes of ripe Williams pear, yellow plums and greengages. Pronounced Williams pear juiciness on the mid-palate with a heat intensity that builds to a potent and perfumed, pear-rich finish. We admire it greatly."
